Parent And Student Testimonials

Hear and see what parents, students and teachers have said about how Kaleyedoscoptics: Visual Approach to Learning has impacted their lives.

The following recording is a voice message left by a client after having her daughter checked by an Optometrist per Becky’s recommendation. The assessment of this child, at Kaleyedoscoptics, A Visual Approach to Learning, had revealed that she was having serious focus and convergence issues, which prompted the referral to an Optometrist. The mother’s excitement says it all….

Although eager to achieve, all three of the Mitchell’s daughters were having difficulty focusing and absorbing information due to having ADHD. When Mrs. Mitchell found Becky’s program, she and her husband were exhausted and discouraged from years of unsuccessful efforts to help their daughters. After just 8 weeks of Summer Camp, the doses of medication required for their ADHD was reduced dramatically with continued higher performance. All three girls were able to concentrate, and their ability to comprehend improved dramatically.

Jacob, son of Maureen and Marc Anderson, enrolled in Becky’s service in 2008. Still actively enrolled Jacob enjoys his classes. He has a profound learning disability which makes learning to read and write very difficult. At 9 he struggled with letter/digit recognition and could not read. By improving his visual processing through the use of manipulatives like puzzles; improving his physical awareness and control with physical activities like throwing and catching balls; and teaching phonics and handwriting, slowly Jake began to read and write. He has also learned how to write neatly in cursive and expanded his vocabulary in sweeping and dramatic ways. His ability to learn has dramatically improved his quality of life, and independence. He has attended classes both in person and via Zoom.

Lexi was struggling with math. Frustrated and overwhelmed she resisted the idea of tutoring. The following essay written as an assignment for school, shows the power that confidence can bring to a student.

Robert was a kindergarten student when Becky began to work with him. He had great difficulty with concentration, learning, and confidence. His family lived in Wisconsin February through October, but spent the winter months in Louisiana with family. Upon his return to Wisconsin in February his kindergarten teachers made note of his progress as he quickly improved beyond kindergarten level. They sent the following letter to Becky….

Cassidy was a student who attended one 4 week Summer Camp session. Her mother was amazed at the improvement in her daughter’s verbalization, reading, and spelling. But what surprised her the most was her marked increased confidence, a benefit of providing the tools that a student develops when given the ability to learn.
